Senior Designer – Architecting the Future of Retail

Vancouver, BC, Canada
Full Time
Experienced

About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Designer who doesn’t just design products, they imagine what’s next and make it real. This is a role for a leader who thrives on creating from zero to one, collapsing traditional boundaries between product, design, and engineering by using AI and code to bring ideas to life.

You’ll work in a way that moves quickly from concept to something tangible, building and sharing working prototypes to explore ideas, validate decisions, and shape direction alongside stakeholders.

You’ll help us redefine what retail means in an era where technology and human connection converge. Every decision you make will shape experiences that customers can’t get anywhere else and raise the bar for how our products work in the real world.

In this role you’ll define experiences that connect every layer of the business, from front line interactions to back office operations, using AI not just to accelerate thinking, but to shorten the path from idea to something that can be used, tested, and improved.

What You’ll Do

  • Define the future of retail experiences, setting a bold vision that influences the entire organization that align with the realities of global operations and multi‑channel strategies across our entire product suite.

  • Architect unified workflows that bridge supply chain, store operations, digital commerce, and partner integrations into coherent end‑to‑end journeys.

  • Be at the forefront of evolving enterprise grade SaaS into an AI first product suite.

  • Lead innovation at scale, applying AI to streamline decision‑making, accelerate prototyping, and unlock new possibilities across product and design.

  • Champion hybrid experiences, where physical meets digital, to reduce friction, increase adoption, and deliver measurable outcomes for customers and partners.

  • Inspire and influence, guiding stakeholders toward transformative outcomes that elevate both the brand and the customer experience.

  • You’ll define the future of retail experiences, setting a clear vision that aligns with global operations and multi channel strategies across our product suite.

  • A core part of the role is moving between design and code. You’ll use AI coding tools such as Claude and GitHub Copilot to build working prototypes with real logic and interaction, and use those to explore ideas and validate decisions with stakeholders. We prioritize code based prototypes in real code repos, over static mockups.

  • You’ll architect workflows that connect supply chain, store operations, digital commerce, and partner systems into coherent end to end journeys, while helping evolve enterprise SaaS into an AI first product suite grounded in real product problems.

  • You’ll also shape hybrid physical and digital experiences, reducing friction and improving adoption, and guide stakeholders toward clear, practical outcomes.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in strategic design leadership for enterprise or large‑scale environments., ideally in tech or retail environments.

  • A track record of building products from the ground up, turning vision into reality.

  • Hands‑on expertise with AI‑enabled design workflows (e.g., research synthesis, prototyping, service design ops).

  • A portfolio that demonstrates bold thinking and scalable design solutions.

  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills; ability to influence at all levels.

  • You have experience leading design in enterprise or large scale environments, ideally in tech or retail, and a track record of building products from the ground up.

  • You actively use AI coding tools such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, or similar to create functional prototypes in code. You’re comfortable working with real behaviour and system logic, not just visual mockups, and you see code as part of the design process.

  • Your portfolio shows strong design thinking and evidence of things you’ve actually built. You communicate clearly, collaborate well, and can influence decisions across teams.
